THE MALAYSIAN NATIONAL COMMISSION FOR UNESCO (MNCU)

The Malaysian National Commission for UNESCO (MNCU) was established on 7th July 1966, per Article VII of the UNESCO Constitution. It serves as the primary liaison between the Government of Malaysia and UNESCO.

Operating from the Ministry of Education Malaysia, MNCU’s permanent presence aims to facilitate collaboration between the Malaysian government, non-governmental organisations, and UNESCO in education, natural sciences, social sciences, culture, communication, and information. MNCU plays a crucial role in providing consultation, mobilisation, and fostering partnerships with national partners and civil society.

The President of MNCU is the Minister of Education Malaysia, while the Vice-President is the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education Malaysia. Additionally, the Secretary-General of MNCU, who also holds the position of Undersecretary of Strategic Planning and International Relations of the Ministry of Education Malaysia, provides further support. MNCU collaborates with 10 Federal Ministries through its Permanent Sub-committees.

SUSTAINABLE ENTREPRENEUR DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (SEDO)

Sustainability practices have a wide range of activities that can be categorized in many different sectors. For the team at SEDO, we concentrate on the key sectors that are close to us; so we can focus our energy and capabilities to bring real impact to the world we live in. One step at a time.

Our goal is to empower passionate individuals in developing sustainable products and projects, recognizing that restoring the environment to a stable state requires collective effort. Our vision is to innovate and collaborate on sustainable projects to save the environment. Our mission is to encourage and develop sustainable entrepreneurs to ensure their projects positively impact the world.

Our roadmap includes actively seeking out true sustainable entrepreneurs, learning about their projects, and connecting them with relevant state and federal agencies to realize their visions. Additionally, we will initiate our own environmental replenishment projects at various scales to reach all facets of society, facilitate a sustainable think-tank or incubator for aspiring individuals to innovate and solve real-world problems, and continually feature and document the diverse cultures and customs of Malaysia to ensure cultural sustainability for the future.
