Crocker Nature Centre

Crocker Range Biosphere Reserve

The Crocker Nature Centre, officially opened in February 2004, is a modern facility located approximately 500 meters from the main headquarters complex along the Keningau-Kimanis road. Nestled on a hill at an altitude of around 1,000 meters above sea level, the center offers a cool, pleasant montane climate and sweeping panoramic views of Keningau town, making it an ideal venue for small meetings, conferences, and various outdoor activities.

Equipped with a lecture room and a gallery showcasing fascinating displays, the Crocker Nature Centre serves as a hub for environmental education and nature appreciation. Visitors can explore the park’s many attractions, including the Fernarium, Insectarium, Rafflesia sites, trekking trails, and camping grounds, which provide immersive experiences in the park’s rich biodiversity.

The center is particularly popular for its environmental education programs, especially for school groups. Activities such as guided nature walks, interactive nature games, quizzes, and compost-making demonstrations can be arranged with the park management, offering participants an engaging way to learn about the environment. Whether for education, exploration, or relaxation, the Crocker Nature Centre is a gateway to discovering the wonders of the Crocker Range Park.
